Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TranslateVid (“we”, “us”), operated by Imran Assabban, collects and uses your personal data when you use our AI video translation service. We act as the data controller for the data described below.

1. Data we collect

• •Account data: email address and display name (via our authentication provider).
• •Content data: the videos and audio you upload or submit by URL, and the translated output we generate for you.
• •Usage data: jobs created, credits used, plan, and basic logs needed to run and secure the Service.
• •Billing data: handled by our payment provider — we do not store your card details.

2. How we use it

• •To provide the Service: transcribe, translate, clone voices, render and deliver your videos.
• •To manage your account, credits and subscription.
• •To secure the Service, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
• •To improve reliability and quality. We do not sell your personal data.

3. AI processing & sub-processors

To deliver translations we share the minimum necessary content with trusted sub-processors, including: Supabase (authentication & database hosting), our cloud render infrastructure, ElevenLabs (voice synthesis & cloning), OpenAI Whisper-class transcription, Anthropic Claude (translation review), and Lemon Squeezy (payments, as Merchant of Record). Each processes data only to perform its function.

4. Voice cloning

Voice cloning creates a temporary voice model from the speakers in your Input to produce the dub. You confirm you have the right to clone those voices. Cloned voice models are deleted after your render completes and are not reused across accounts.

5. Retention

Source videos and generated output are stored so you can access and download them, and are deleted within 30 days of your last download or on account deletion, whichever comes first. Account and billing records are kept as long as required for legal and accounting purposes.

6. Storage location

Data is hosted in the EU where possible. Some sub-processors may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion or export of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us below. You can also delete your account at any time from settings.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to run core features. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version.
